With lakes, gorges and high mountain rivers all in this area there is plenty to keep those who love water entertained and happy.

We highly recommend a very peaceful day canoeing in the spectacular Mont Rebei Gorge (1hr drive) There are two local companies that supply canoes and escort, it’s all very low key and relatively undiscovered.

The Terradets Lake (1/2hr drive) is great for a gentle paddle in a canoe with great views of the high mountains to the north and the dramatic Terradets Gorge to the south.

Or enjoy the lakeside under the shade of pine trees take a picnic relax in the water & soak in the views.

North of Tremp is the beautiful lake of Sant Antoni with numerous tracks down to lakeside beaches. A favourite spot is the Chiringuitos Beach Bar where you can enjoy good food, swim in the lake and make use of their free canoes.

Closer to home just a 10min drive away is the secluded and utterly peaceful plunge pools of Merea, great for a late afternoon cooler. Or take a very scenic drive through the Vila Nova Gorge (25min) to a village swimming pool with bar and food and incredible views of the majestic Montsec escarpment.

For more thrills and excitement head towards the high mountain village of Llavorsi (11/2hr drive) and spend a day shooting the rapids on the River Noguera which passes through some stunning scenery.
