  Situated in the South East Corner of the picturesque Tremp Valley, the house stands on its own. Tolo is not in a village. At 1000metres in the Montsec Natural Park (where Mediterranean flora meets alpine) you can enjoy the tranquillity and the sounds of nature undisturbed and starry night skies unpolluted by any street lights. The surrounding countryside has a rich diversity of birds and raptors wild flowers insects and butterflies it is also an area popular in autumn with mushroom pickers. The nearby Montsec escarpment is cut through by the dramatic gorges of Mont Rebei, Terradets and Vila Nova de Meia, the latter a walk or10min drive away providing excellent walking and climbing right on your doorstep. In the valley close to the house are idyllic plunge pools where you can laze undisturbed, we are within easy reach of pools and pristine lakes with high mountain vistas and village swimming pools, often with a bar! This agricultural area with fields of wheat corn and sunflowers is interspersed with mixed forests beautiful old almond and olive groves and local vineyards providing delicious wines. Services: solar power electricity and water from the mountain. All waste recycled.
The Seasons March - May; Probably one of the best times to visit. Temperatures are good but not too hot for walking & climbing. It is also a great time for wildflowers & birdspotting. June - September; Getting hot. Good for high mountain walking & water activities, or just lazing around. October - December; Cold nights but mostly warm days & clear blue skies, great time for walking & climbing. January - February; Cold nights but mostly crystal clear days with reasonable temperatures. A slight possibility of snow. Great time for walking & climbing. Spring & Autumn tend to be the times we get any rainfall, difficult to say exactly when these days, but it never lasts long! |
